Experience the world through a different lens.

Step into The Stimming Pool, a bold, imaginative and visually captivating film that invites audiences to experience the world through autistic perspectives.

Blending documentary, fiction and experimental filmmaking, The Stimming Pool takes us on a journey through everyday environments, hidden worlds and moments of unexpected magic. From bustling workplaces and crowded pubs to peaceful woodlands and imagined landscapes, the film explores the challenges of navigating a world not always designed for autistic people.

Co-created by the Neurocultures Collective and artist-filmmaker Steven Eastwood, this groundbreaking film celebrates neurodivergent creativity, identity and the freedom to be yourself.

At its heart is a search for a place where autistic people can move, stim and simply exist without judgement or restriction.

Thought-provoking, playful and beautifully original, The Stimming Pool offers a fresh perspective on how we see, experience and connect with the world. The Stimming Pool is presented by John Hansard Gallery in collaboration Southampton Film Week.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.
