Southampton Film Week returned for its fifteenth year from 11-21 November 2022, with a packed programme of film screenings, events and activities.
Celebrating features and shorts, documentary and fiction, artists film and film with live music, there was something for everyone. Across the city, we had screenings, workshops, quizzes, talks and masterclasses, with timeless classics and a few surprises!
Southampton Film Week launched at Turner Sims, with an innovative performance of music and moving image from composer, pianist, and creative coder Larkhall. The week continued with the SFW: Shorts Screening and Awards Ceremony at MAST Mayflower Studios on Saturday 12 November and then at venues across the city for films and workshops, music and talks, not to mention the legendary Southampton Film Week Quiz! SFW was found, among other places, at City Eye and John Hansard Gallery, Solent University and O2 Guildhall where its iconic pipe organ accompanied Keaton’s Sherlock Jr in classic style!
SFW22 had a grand total of 30 events over 11 days! It was a brilliant week, and you can find all the info about it right here!
