Southampton Film Week is proud to announce the films that have made the official selection for SFW: Shorts 2021! We are delighted to be able to present the SFW: Shorts official selection screening and awards ceremony at that launch of this year’s festival on Friday 5th November.
Southampton Film Week is fast approaching and we are so excited to say that tickets to SFW: Shorts, the festival’s flagship event, are on sale…NOW.
Our flagship event, SFW: Shorts has a global reach as well as a strong local following. With entrants (and often winners) working on films all around the world occasionally we have awards that need to find their new owners at the end of each festival. In 2020 we staged our popular SFW: Shorts awards ceremony online and so found ourselves in the unusual position of needing to unite every award with its new owner.
We are excited to announce the winners, selected by our panel of judges, of Best Artist Film, Best Documentary and Best Fiction categories, as well as the Michael Fuller Award for Best Film and the Solent University sponsored Regional Filmmaker Award. Also find out who you voted for to receive the Audience Award.
In 2020 we are not able to present a live screening and awards ceremony as we have in previous years. We have, therefore, created an on-demand channel for our film audience to watch the official selection of short films.
